Patrick J. Kennedy will present at the Minnesota Health Action Group’s (The Action Group) 2020 Annual Employer Leadership Summit on April 29. The event will be conducted in an all-new, virtual format to ensure the health and safety of speakers, sponsors, and attendees.
The theme for this year’s Summit, “The Path Forward: Employers Driving Improved Mental Health Care and Outcomes,” will challenge attendees to think differently about mental health benefits, and how to achieve and leverage sustainable, measurable improvements in mental health access, care delivery, parity, and outcomes.
Improving workplace mental health has emerged in recent years as a business priority for Minnesota employers, fueled by studies that have demonstrated the significant impact that mental health has on workforce performance.
“The current environment in society and the workplace calls for a heightened focus on mental health care and outcomes, which is why we chose to continue with our regularly scheduled April event in a virtual format,” said Mamie Segall, president and CEO of The Action Group. “Employers and benefits leaders across the county will find value in the perspectives, experiences, and best practices that will be shared in this safe and engaging online event. Individuals and families who rely on employer-sponsored benefits need us to continue to collaborate for improved care delivery, cost, access, and outcomes for mental health care for all.”
Kennedy will share his inspiring story and discuss actionable employer strategies that can produce lasting change in the way mental health and substance use disorders are treated across the country.
