Patrick J. Kennedy will present on a virtual webinar: Addressing Court Workplace Mental Health and Well-Being, on June 25th at 3:00 PM EST.
Anxiety and stress in returning to the workplace in the midst of COVID-19, undoubtedly worries many judges and court staff in spite of the many physical and hygiene precautions courts have implemented. Added to this dynamic is the deserved national focus on racism and its rightful demands on the criminal justice community, including trial courts. How can court leaders address this psychological unease and promote a mentally healthy workplace and environment? In these strained times, trial courts need constructive, empathetic, and effective leaders.
This 90-minute webinar will identify and illustrate leadership tips and resources to help court leaders and their leadership teams deal with the many underlying psychological issues judges and staff face as courts cautiously reopen. The session is hosted by NAPCO in partnership with (a) the Conferences of Chief Justices and State Court Administrators’ Rapid Response Team (RRT); (b) One Mind at Work, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing practices, policies and programs for mental health and addition services within the workplace, and (c) the National Judicial Task Force to Examine the State Courts’ Response to Mental Illness.
The webinar is open to the public. It is the third in a monthly series of complimentary webinars on contemporary trial court leadership challenges
