The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will host their 10th Annual Advocacy Forum, June 9-12 in Washington, DC. Patrick J. Kennedy, former U.S. Representative (D-RI), lead sponsor of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008, and founder of The Kennedy Forum and of, will be among the featured speakers.

Kennedy will join AFSP CEO Bob Gebbia at 11am on Monday, June 10th for a panel discussion: “Mental Health Parity at a Crossroads.”

According to their website, AFSP’s Advocacy Forum brings together AFSP Field Advocates, chapter volunteers, and staff to network, share the latest research, and engage members of Congress in discussion on important suicide prevention issues.
