Patrick J. Kennedy to Speak at Georgia Southern University

Georgia Southern University will host Patrick J. Kennedy for “An Evening with Patrick Kennedy – My Journey: Making Mental Health Essential Health” Monday April 1, 2019 at the Fine Arts Hall Auditorium on its Armstrong Campus in Savannah, Georgia.

Kennedy, former U.S. Representative (D-RI), lead sponsor of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008, and founder of The Kennedy Forum and of, will explore the need for mental health equity and increased access to care through the lens of personal experience and an understanding of our complex political landscape.

According to its website, the event will begin at 7 p.m. EST and is open to Georgia Southern faculty, staff, and students, and to community members and health providers.
